Dallas Remote Imaging Group

The Dallas Remote Imaging Group (DRIG) provides consulting and educational services on weather satellite imagery, satellite communications and tracking, and the use of image acquisition and processing in education. DRIG.com is dedicated to remote imaging and space related content and to serving a diverse audience on a wide variety of platforms.

Jeff Wallach, Ph.D., is the President of the
Dallas Remote Imaging Group. Dr. Wallach has been consulting on remote sensing/remote imaging topics for over 15 years. He is the author of the NOAA/NESDIS publication "User's Guide for Building and Operating Environmental Satellite Receiving Stations", and a contributing author to "Weather Satellite Handbook" by Ralph Taggart. He has also published in several international journals and other scientific and technology-related publications.

An amateur radio operator since 1974 (N5ITU), Dr. Wallach has utilized amateur radio in education through contacts with the NASA space shuttle, the Russian MIR space station, and the new International Space Station (ISS).

Other technology concepts in education include the use of remote sensing, image transmission, telemetry, as well as Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) data in amateur rocketry.
